Maya Sells — Consignment Terms

1 · What we do
Maya Sells lists your item on online marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, eBay and similar), handles all buyer communication and negotiation, and collects payment on your behalf.
2 · Your item stays with you
The item remains in your possession and your responsibility (including insurance, loss and damage) until a buyer picks it up. Pickup happens only after the buyer’s Interac e-transfer has cleared.
3 · You set the price
Maya suggests a listing price based on real sold comparables. You decide the final listing price and your bottom-line floor (text is fine as confirmation). Maya never accepts less than your floor.
4 · Fee
Our fee is 20% of the final sale price. No sale, no fee. No listing, storage, or cancellation fees. We accept items that typically resell for $100 or more; smaller things can be bundled into one lot.
5 · Payout
You receive 80% of the final sale price by Interac e-transfer within 1 business day of the buyer’s payment clearing.
6 · Ownership
You confirm you own the item outright (no liens, not stolen, not counterfeit) and that it is legal to sell in Alberta. We may decline or delist any item at our discretion — including weapons, counterfeits, recalled or unsafe goods.
7 · Duration and cancellation
Listings run up to 60 days. Either of us can cancel any time before a sale is agreed with a buyer; if a buyer has already paid, the sale completes.
8 · Accuracy
You confirm your photos and condition description are accurate. If a buyer returns an item within 48 hours because its condition was materially misrepresented, the sale is reversed and no fee applies.
9 · Texts and privacy
By submitting an item you consent to receive texts and emails from Maya Sells about your item (reply STOP any time — CASL). We collect only your name, phone, and item details, use them only to sell your item, never sell your data, and delete lead data on request (PIPEDA). See our privacy policy.
